I know, that’s really an Iowa State Fair verse, but we’re neighbors and I was just there!
The Minnesota State Fair is in full swing with practically everything available on a stick that you can think of to Seed Art to Butter Heads. I’m going on Monday, Labor Day, with my good friend Brenda. You see, Brenda moved here from San Diego a year ago and has not yet experienced the culture that awaits us. She’s all excited and has been researching all the yummy items that can be found throughout the grounds (I think she mentioned dark chocolate bacon on a stick) and is looking forward to seeing Minnesota at its Prime.
My main reason for going is that The Rose Ensemble will be performing two 1/2 hour shows between 11am and 1pm at
the MPR (Minnesota Public Radio) booth. All decked out in our Hawaiian garb, we will be serenading the Fairgoers with our best Alohas and Kim will treat everyone to her incredible hula.
If you click on the Music from The Rose Ensemble banner to the right, you will have a chance to hear some of my favorite selections from the Hawaiian disc. So enjoy your Labor Day Weekend, everyone and come on out to the Fair!
as always, I welcome your comments – thank you for your support! ~Lisa
