It’s been a long time since I’ve posted to my blog. A lot has been going on in my personal life that has kept me from sharing what is happening in my musical life, and I apologize for that.
However, I’m ready to begin blogging again!
I have some exciting musical events coming up that I would love to share with you.
In March, I will be singing Franz Lizst’s Psalm 138 for alto, piano, organ, solo violin and womens chorus. Performed at the 10:30 service at Plymouth Congregational Church on Sunday, March 27th. Guest violinist Marc Levine, with Philip Brunelle at the organ and Sonja Thompson at the piano.
April brings not only Spring Showers, but my opportunity to perform the alto solos in Bach’s Mass in B Minor with Lyra Baroque and the VocalEssence Ensemble Singers. Two concerts will be presented at St. Olaf Catholic Church in downtown Minneapolis with soloist Maria Jette, James Taylor, and Aaron Larson on April 8th and April 9th at 8pm. Tickets can be purchased on the VocalEssence website at www.vocalessence.org
May gives me the wonderful opportunity to reconnect with my friend, Phil Rukavina as we present an afternoon of Lute Song at Plymouth Congregational Church on May 8th at 4pm. Phil & I presented a lovely show last July in Stockholm, Wisconsin and I’m looking forward to singing this music once again.
The Rose Ensemble is still very much a part of my musical life, now rounding out my 9th season. In June we will present an entertaining show on Temperance and Temptation songs at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul and Weber Hall in Duluth. Tickets and more information can be found on The Rose Ensemble website.
July brings me to Argentina with The Rose Ensemble as part of the 9th World Choral Symposium in Puerto Madryn in Patagonia. This will be my first visit to South America and I’m looking forward to the adventure!
Friend me on Facebook – I try to update as much as possible.
