I was just perusing my latest newsletter from MPR (Minnesota Public Radio) and came across this wonderful blurb:
Let’s Hear It for Singers
We tend to have a bias around here toward singers since many of us have choral experience, so it’s nice to see that our assumptions have been proven true. In a just-published study from Chorus America, it turns out that – compared to the population at large – choral singers have better social skills, civic involvement, volunteerism, and higher support for philanthropy and other art forms. Our rich choral history here in Minnesota is the subject of a new documentary airing on Twin Cities Public Television, Never Stop Singing. So hug a singer today.
As for me, I’m always up for a hug… 😀
