It was a great weekend for art. On Saturday evening I was privledged to be one of 80 artists that donated work to a fundraising art sale benefiting the prevention of homelessness in Minneapolis.
The event was held at gallery space at The Traffic Zone for Arts near the new ballpark in Minneapolis. An excellent space that was able to display hundreds of art pieces and was packed to capacity at times. The atmosphere was one of a great party where people mingled and met new faces and discussed the works of local artists displayed.
I’m still waiting to hear about the numbers, but I can’t tell you what a great feeling it was to be surrounded by such generous people in these strained economic times.
